RIMA (Robotics for Inspection and Maintenance), has launched its 2nd open call with equity-free funding for small & medium-sized
Launched within the framework of Horizon 2020, RIMA is a project that aims to accelerate the deployment of robotic technologies in inspection and maintenance (I&M) applications. RIMA is building a European-wide network connecting stakeholders in inspection and maintenance within different industries.
During RIMA’s 1st open call, we received 121 applications across Europe, out of which 19 projects from different industries were selected. The selected projects received funding and technical and business mentoring from the RIMA Project.
The 2nd open call, closing in March 2021, will select up to 31 European Robotics Innovation Experiments in the fields of water supply & sanitation; energy generation & distribution; oil & gas and chemical; nuclear; urban and suburban transport routes and buildings; transport, cargo and mobility.
Each selected consortium will receive up to €150.000 equity-free funding, access to acceleration services, and expertise of a network of 13 Digital Innovation Hubs (DIHs), all dedicated to help the innovation and commercialization process of new I&M robotics solutions in Europe.
Applications to the Open Call will be accepted until the 17th March 2021 at 16:00 CET.
